(FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE): Ski legends spanning several generations, including the organizer of Maine’s winter carnivals in the 1920’s and a present day national free style ski champion and film maker, are part of the Maine Ski Hall of Fame Class of 2004. Founded in 2003, the Maine Ski Hall of Fame seeks to honor instructors, competitors and other skiing visionaries; men and women who’ve elevated the sport of skiing in Maine. This year’s induction ceremony will be Friday, October 22 at 6:30 pm at Lost Valley in Auburn.

This year’s class represents a wide spectrum of ski professionals and enthusiasts from Maine’s ski mountains. “We have an abundance of worthy candidates,” says Irons. “Those recommended by the committee represent a combination of historic and recent achievers and contributors to this important sport in our state.”
